Pious and devout, known as the Saint, he was 81 years old (he was born in 1230) and married to Agneta Querini.
He saw the high office as a means to take care of his neighbour in a more industrious manner.
His dogate, however, lasted only 11 months.
In the Promission of this doge, as in that of Ranieri Zen in 1253, we find the name Bucintoro, the princely vessel built by decree of the Senate for the ceremony of the Marriage of the Sea and kept in the Arsenal.
When Marino passed away, he was buried in the bare earth in the cloister of the Church of S. G
