Marino Morosini was the 44th Doge of the Serenissima (1249-1253).

The first to be elected from the forty-one.

He was 69 years old (he was born in 1180) and had already been duke of Candia/Creta and procurator of St. Mark's.

The most notable things during his short dogado were of a diplomatic and commercial nature, such as agreements with Zadar or other coastal cities such as Ragusa or Tunis.

He was buried in the atrium of St Mark's Church.
