The Venice Marathon is today an international marathon race recognized worldwide by the IAAF - International Association of Athletics Federations - certified Silver Label, on the Olympic distance of 42,195 km which allows the participation of sportsmen, athletes and amateurs, up to a maximum of 8,000 competitors.
The first edition took place on May 18, 1986 and the organization of the event has always been managed by the Venicemarathon Club, established in 1985 with the primary objective of bringing a great athletics event to the Venetian territory. With the passing of the years,
