We like to describe this palace, known as "Carlo Goldoni's House", quoting the introduction to the work "Mémoires" by one of the founding fathers of modern comedy as well as a citizen of the Venetian Republic:
I was born in Venice, in 1707, in a large and beautiful house, situated between the Nomboli bridge and that of the Honourable Woman, on the corner of the Calle di Ca' Centanni, in the parish of San Tomà...
This is how the story of the celebrated Carlo Goldoni began.

Ca 'Centani, or Palazzo Zantani or Centanni, was built between the end of the 14th and the beginning of the 15th century and represents a typical Gothic palace of modest size; mandatory stop for theater and comedy lovers.

The façade, a triptych in exposed brick with a rich four-lancet window consisting of thin columns and arches, curves to follow the course of the narrow stream it overlooks.
