This palace, appearing from the Grand Canal in all its beauty and seemingly mirrored in the equally enchanting Palazzo Cà d'Oro, is certainly one of the most elegant and fascinating buildings in Venice. Its façade, rich in bas-reliefs and statues, certainly does not leave the visitor indifferent.
In its interior, unique pieces of Oriental Art and Modern Art are collected.

The construction, commissioned by Giovanni Pesaro, one of the exponents of the noble family of the same name, was entrusted to Baldassarre Longhena.

The works began in 1652 and ended in 1710 under the direction of Antonio Gaspari (Longhena died in 1682).

The original project included, among other things, a staircase to interrupt the entrance hall, an internal courtyard including a loggia and the service part.

Gaspari later modified the project by eliminating both the staircase and the courtyard and, above all, changed the side view of the building tow
