The construction of the current seat of the city hall of Venice is attested between the twelfth and thirteenth centuries: tradition attributes Ca 'Farsetti as the home of Enrico Dandolo, Doge and leader during the conquest of Constantinople; this hypothesis does not find certain proofs, however the presence of another Doge representative of the Dandolo family, namely Andrea, is attested.
