The answer is simple because they are two different types of forecast: the weather forecast is a detailed forecast: it manages to tell Venice, Padua, Belluno, wherever, what will happen at 5 p.m. the day after tomorrow. So it manages to be highly precise in time and space, but it pays the price for this precision with its short duration: more than 7-10 days is no longer meaningful.
