Palazzo Priuli Manfrin overlooking the Cannaregio Canal (Wolfgang Morode).

The palace, as well as having been the home of noble families, was also the seat of a prestigious picture gallery, a religious institute and recently offices.
In its heyday, when it housed a valuable art gallery, it was visited by important personalities including Antonio Canova, Lord Byron and the brothers Édouard and Eugène Manet.

Ca' Priuli Manfrin, which takes its name from two of the most important families who lived there, is located in the Cannaregio district, at the foot of the Guglie bridge, in fondamenta Venier. Its foundation dates back to medieval times.

In the beginning it belonged to the Pesaro di Cannaregio family, who bequeathed it in 1457 to the Priuli. One of the few currently visible traces of this settlement is a tiny family crest carved above a walled portal on the side of the facade, bearing the date MDXX on the lintel.
