Church named after Saints Simeon and Judas and commonly called San Simeon Piccolo to distinguish it from the nearby church of San Simeone Profeta (San Simeon Grande).
The building was erected approximately between the 10th and 11th centuries while the date of consecration is certainly 21 June 1271.
