Church dedicated to San Pantalon, a dialect word for San Pantaleone di Nicomedia in Bitinia.

Uncertain is the date of construction as well as the original appearance, Pope Alexander III named it for the first time in 1161, thus returning to the core of the oldest parishes in the city. Its consecration, which it received from the bishop of Castello Polo Ramberto in 1305, is instead known.
