Il Cuculo è un uccello la cui particolarità sta nel deporre le proprie uova in altri nidi, uova che si schiudono prima di quelle dell'altra specie e che in seguito monopolizzano il rifornimento di cibo uccidendo gli uccellini non ancora nati, che avrebbero invece pieno diritto di rivendicare la proprietà del nido.
