Three enormous ogival windows, the three oci as the Venetians say. This is the heart of this bewitching dwelling.
She looks like a silent lady enjoying one of the most beautiful and evocative landscapes that can exist: the Basin and St Mark's Square with its Bell Tower, the Basilica and the Doge's Palace.

This residence represents a particular and fascinating example of Venetian neo-Gothic architecture of the early twentieth century.

It was built by the Emilian painter Mario De Maria in 1912-1913 and became his last home; after his death, the house was inhabited by numerous important personalities such as, for example, the architect Renzo Piano.

De Maria said that her three eyes represented a dream of her daughter Silvia who died at an early age shortly after the construction of the building and would represent the gaze of her father, mother and brother on her.
