From a young age, he worked with his brothers Francesco and Giambattista in his father's workshop, and soon managed to bring out his individual qualities, devoting himself above all to pastoral themes.
Following his trip to Venice in the late 1970s with his father, paintings exclusively by Leandro began to stand out, such as the Ultima Cena Pitti or the Christ Deposed by Angels in the Sepulchre in the Museo Civico in Bassano.
Presumably between 1584 and 1588 the artist began to reside permanently in Venice, also enrolling in the lagoon fraglia of paint
