We quote a passage from the biography of Silvio Trentin written by Frank Rosengarten in 1980.

Silvio Trentin (1885-1944) was born in San Donà di Piave on 11 November 1885 and, at only 24 years of age, became the youngest law teacher in Italy. He taught administrative law and the science of administration in numerous universities before arriving, between 1923 and 1926, at Ca' Foscari University in Venice.He volunteered to participate in the First World War and was decorated several times for memorable air reconnaissance actions. After returning from the army, he devoted himself briefly to politics (1919 - 1921), in the Chamber of Deputies as the only deputy of the Venetian Soc
