From the Ala Napoleonica to the Piazzetta dei Leoncini

In the heart of St Mark’s Square you can discover (and see!) the old church that is no longer there and a church that still exists today but which often escapes the eye, running along the Procuratie Vecchie. Two lions will welcome you into the area dedicated to Pope John XXIII, and you can discover another pair of lions, guarding the funeral monument dedicated to Daniele Manin.
