One of the most important Italian museums of European and American art; includes works from Cubism, Futurism, European Abstraction, Surrealism and American Abstract Expressionism, by some of the greatest artists of the 20th century.

It is based in the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, on the Grand Canal, in what was once the home of Peggy Guggenheim.

The museum is composed not only of the permanent and personal collection of Peggy Guggenheim, but also of the masterpieces of the Hannelore B. and Rudolph B. Schulhof Collection, the Gianni Mattioli Collection, the Nasher Sculpture Garden and organizes important temporary exhibitions; There is also a library containing 8,000 volumes, most of which are exhibition catalogs. Do not miss the Museum café and two Museum Shops. The museum is also fully accessible to people with walking difficulties.

The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is owned by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation which also manages the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, and is a partner of the Basque Country in the programming of the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.
