From the end of the 13th century and certainly until the middle of the 15th century, the church of San Lorenzo was the seat of one of the four archpriestships into which the diocese of Treviso was divided - the other three were Quinto, Castelfranco and Cornuda - and 10 minor churches and their chapels depended on it.
